We are able to offer discount activity rates for our guests, including luaus, snorkeling tours, sunset cruises, zip line, Nä-pali or Ni'ihau boat tours, Scuba, Ocean and River kayaks and more! We enjoy the many hikes and hidden beaches around our island which we are happy to share tips and maps with you.
Visitors to Hawaii would need a long stay on Kauai indeed to take advantage of all the wonderful activities Kauai provides. Not only does Kauai have great beaches with world class surfing and snorkeling, but we also have some of the best getaway beaches in the world. Brennecke's Beach, world famous for body surfing, is a couple of blocks walk along the coastline from Po'ipu Plantation. Next to Brennecke's is Po'ipu Beach, a great place to begin your snorkel. Po'ipu Beach is ideal for children to experience the water at Keiki beach and enjoy the new play area of Po'ipu Beach park.
The remote Maha'ulepu Beach is 15 minutes away and hikes such as Larsen's Beach in the north are well worth it! There are several nearby charter boat operators for whale watching in the winter, scuba diving all year long, tours and snorkeling of the Nä-pali coast or the forbidden island and romantic sunset cruises. You can also rent a kayak on the Wailua or Hanalei Rivers for that jungle adventure.
Within a few minutes drive from Po'ipu Plantation are the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. Allerton garden tours are offered daily as well as Mc Bryde Garden, home to the largest ex situ collection of native Hawaiian flora in existence. At no charge, visitors can wander through the lush gardens at the Allerton visitor center, across from Spouting Horn. There is no shortage of shopping on Kauai, either at the Po'ipu Shopping Center (a few blocks away) or in the quaint little plantation town of Koloa.

World Class Golf
Two of the most popular golf courses on Kauai, the Kiahuna and Po'ipu Bay (home of the PGA Grand Slam) are within a mile of Po'ipu Plantation. Kukuiolono 9 hole course for under $10 is our little secret. You can save with twilight times here in Po'ipu, or at The Kauai Lagoons and Princeville Golf Courses.
The awesome beauty of Kaua's interiori can best be experienced by taking a zip-line or tubing adventure through the jungle with one of several outstanding tour companies.

A note about Napali Coast Boat and whale watch tours.
We only suggest Napali tours from the South and West shore departures of Port Allen or Kikiaola boat Harbors. These departures will include our west side shorelines, Poli Hale and Barking sand beaches and the Napali coast to Kee beach (conditions permitting). The drive early morning is 30 to 45 minutes and represents 99% of the tour operators. One or two tours advertise departures from the Hanalei
bay area of our north. This is a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive from Poipu Beach. These operators notoriously cancel last minute for various reasons. Only those staying in the north should consider these tours.
